Kingman AZ ~ Rancho Santa Fe Interchange

Kingman AZ ~ Rancho Santa Fe Interchange

New Interchange ~ On 12.2.2024 I went to the groundbreaking for the new Rancho Santa Fe Interchange at I-40, it was very well attended, it will be a great asset to the City of Kingman AZ. Before the event I kept seeing a map on Facebook and although I think I know just about every street in town, I was confused. So, I built this map hoping it will help everyone understand where it is. What is now the Rancho Santa Fe Interchange was originally known as Rattlesnake Wash and both names are used for the area. Kingman started working on this exit off the freeway in 1974.. yes 50 years ago.. and it has taken that long to come up with the money needed and other requirements to get our OK from ADOT. The interchange will flow into the new street “Rancho Santa Fe Parkway”. The first phase will take the Parkway South to Louise and eventually will go to Hualapai Mtn. Rd. To the North it will go to Airway and eventually go to the airport. The city is working with the FFA to clear the way.

I have also marked “Kingman Crossing” this interchange will be right at the Kingman Regional Medical Centers Santa Rosa Campus. Unlike Rancho Santa Fe Parkway that is all zoned residential around it, Kingman Crossing is zoned commercial on both sides of the highway. I’m told that the City of Kingman, along with much help from the Hospital has the Kingman Crossing project 98% complete. This will be a few years out, but hopefully it will bring businesses and take some of the traffic off of Stockton Hill Rd.
